Black Ice x ON Running

Nominated for Best Original Music by the One Club for Creativity in New York.

For client shoe brand ON, I had the privilege of joining with director Richard Bullock for this real life super hero film starring Akwasi Frimpong, who was the first skeleton athlete from Africa to win an elite skeleton race sanctioned by the USA Bobsled and Skeleton Federation in Park City, Utah.   For the score, I wanted to lean in to the authenticity of the culture where the story takes place.  I recorded with different African flutes, percussion and field recordings of children singing on location in Ghana.
